Demo Mode

Hide your plan tier, usage, upgrade chrome, and engagement nav items for clean screen recordings and live client demos.

What Demo Mode is for

When you record a tutorial, ship a screenshot to a client, or demo Aidelly live, the last thing you want in frame is your billing info, AI credit balance, or the "Earn rewards" sidebar entry. Demo Mode hides every commercial and engagement element across the dashboard and sidebar with one toggle — and lets you fine-tune exactly what disappears.

It's per-user, not per-workspace, and follows you across browsers and devices.

Step 1 — Turn it on

  1. Open Settings → Demo mode.
  2. Flip the master switch in the top-right of the page to On.

Or use the quick toggle in the profile popup:

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right.
  2. Find Demo mode in the Appearance section (right below the theme toggle).
  3. Click the switch.

The popup toggle controls the master switch only. Fine-tuning happens in Settings.

Step 2 — Customize what hides

In Settings → Demo mode, the nine hide-flags appear below the master switch:

FlagWhat it hides
Plan tier badgeThe "Agency / Scale / Launch" pill in the profile popup and sidebar
Plan label in sidebarThe plan name under your account in the sidebar
Usage / AI credits cardThe usage overview block in the profile popup
Trial countdown"X days left in trial" + the lifetime banner
Upgrade CTAsUpgrade buttons and pricing prompts across the app
EarnThe Earn entry in the sidebar
RewardsThe Rewards entry in the sidebar
Feature RequestsThe Feature Requests link
LeaderboardsThe public Leaderboards link

Every flag defaults to hidden when demo mode is on — opt out only for items you want kept visible.

Common patterns

  • Recording a YouTube tutorial. Turn on demo mode, keep all flags on (default). Record. Turn off when done.
  • Selling a client on a feature. Switch into the client's white-label workspace AND turn on demo mode. The WL hide-flags handle the client-facing chrome; demo mode handles the chrome that's specific to you as the operator (your tier, your usage).
  • Single screenshot. Toggle on, take the shot, toggle off. The setting persists if you forget, so check before posting.

Demo Mode vs White Label

The two work together:

  • White Label (Agency plan) controls what clients see in your branded workspace — your logo, hide-flags for engagement nav, no Aidelly tier badge.
  • Demo Mode is per-user. It controls what you see, no matter which workspace you're in. The agency owner uses it to record screenshots without their own usage chrome showing.
