E-commerce

Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, or Wix and turn any product into a platform-native post in one click.

What E-commerce is for

E-commerce is the bridge between your store and your socials. You connect a store (Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, or Wix), Aidelly syncs your catalog into a browsable grid inside the app, and from there you can turn any product into a platform-native post — image grabbed, caption AI-drafted, link tracked — without switching tabs.

Useful when you sell on socials directly (product drops, restocks, launches) or run an agency managing merch for clients.

Where it lives

Open E-commerce in the sidebar (/ecommerce). The page has two halves: the store list at the top and the product grid below. Connections are workspace-scoped, so each workspace connects its own store.

The connection layer is the same on every plan — only the count cap differs.

Step 1 — Connect a store

  1. Open /ecommerce.
  2. Click Connect store. A dialog opens.
  3. Pick a provider:
    • Shopify — needs your shop domain (e.g. your-shop.myshopify.com) and a private app access token.
    • WooCommerce — needs your store URL, a consumer key, and a consumer secret from WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API.
    • Etsy — OAuth 2.0; click Connect and you'll be redirected to Etsy to authorize.
    • Wix — OAuth; click Connect and authorize the Wix Stores scope.
  4. Aidelly verifies the credential against the provider's API, persists the connection, and kicks off the initial product sync immediately.

The connection appears in the store list with a "Syncing…" indicator while the catalog streams in.

Step 2 — Browse your catalog

Once the initial sync is done, the product grid shows every active product with its primary image, title, price, and SKU. Filter by store, search by title or SKU, and pick a product to inspect details.

For large catalogs (10k+ SKUs), products stream in. You can start using whatever's already synced — the rest fills in the background.

Step 3 — Turn a product into a post

  1. On any product card, click Create post.
  2. The composer opens pre-filled with:
    • The product's primary image attached as media
    • An AI-drafted caption written natively for the platform you'll publish to (the caption uses your Brand Profile if set)
    • The product URL inserted via the Link Shortener so clicks are tracked
  3. Edit anything. Add platforms with Crosspost Routes if you want fanout. Schedule or publish.

Step 4 — Re-sync after catalog changes

When you add or update products in your store, hit Re-sync from the store list to pull the latest catalog. Re-syncs are incremental — Aidelly only fetches what changed since the last sync.

What Aidelly does and doesn't see

DataAidelly reads?
Product title, description, price, images, public URL, SKUYes
Customer PII / email listsNo
Orders, fulfillment, shippingNo
Inventory counts (writeable)No (read-only on Shopify/Woo)

We only ask for catalog read scopes. You can review the exact permissions in the connect dialog before authorizing.

How E-commerce interacts with other Aidelly features

  • Crosspost Routes — fan a single product post out to up to 12 destinations in one click.
  • Link Shortener — every product URL is auto-shortened so clicks roll up by platform.
  • Image Editor — open the product image in the editor to add a brand watermark, crop, or apply a template before publishing.
  • Auto-Post — pair with an RSS auto-post rule on your "new arrivals" feed for automatic publish on every new SKU.
  • Brand Profile — better profile → sharper AI caption.

Disconnecting a store

Disconnecting revokes the API credential and stops future syncs. Products already imported into your library stay available so previously scheduled or published posts don't break — but they won't refresh. Re-connect anytime to resume syncing.

Troubleshooting

  • "Verification failed" on connect — usually means the access token or consumer key/secret is wrong, or the API permissions are missing. Double-check the scopes listed in the connect dialog.
  • Sync stalled at N products — large catalogs paginate; check the store list for an "errored" badge. Click into the store for the failure detail and hit Resume.
  • Caption doesn't mention the product — fill in your Brand Profile and re-generate. The AI caption uses brand context plus the product copy you've already written.
